Earl Bassett
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ? Earl Bassett, 51, 253 Village way, a house painter with the veterans? administration, died yesterday at Kaiser hospital after a long illness.
A native of Minnesota, Bassett had lived in California 31 years and in South San Francisco six years. Survivors include his wife, Helen; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Chase of San Francisco; a son, Russell Bassett of South San Francisco; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Stober and Mrs. Elsie Reed, both of Iowa; a brother, Lyle Bassett of Arizona2, and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Friday beginning from Larson chapel at 6:30 a.m., proceeding thence to All Souls Catholic church for a 9 a.m. requiem mass. A Rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 p.m. at the chapel. Interment will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Colma.

DEATH: Obituary in the FAIRMONT DAILY SENTINEL, Tues. 3 Feb. 1959: Fenton [Iowa] - Mrs. Ray Toeber, Fenton, received word last week of the death of her brother, Earl Bassett, in San Francisco. . . . Death was due to a heart attack.
