Kevin L. Bass
ELLENDALE ? Kevin L. Bass, 49, of Ellendale died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in rural New Richland on Aug. 3, 2014.
Funeral service is set for Thursday, Aug. 7, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ellendale with the Rev. Randy Cirksena presiding. Burial will commence at Berlin Township Cemetery in rural Steele County. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road, from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour before the time of service at the church on Thursday. Kevin "China" L. Bass of Ellendale died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in rural New Richland on Aug. 3, 2014. Kevin was born on August 8, 1964 in Owatonna the son of Lee and Marlys (Leske) Bass. He attended school in Owatonna and graduated from there in 1982. Kevin worked at Viracon, managed The Office Bar for many years and most recently worked at Apex Painting. Kevin was united in marriage to Teresa Mador on Sept. 22, 1990 at the United Methodist Church in Ellendale. The couple later divorced. Kevin's life interests include motorcycle riding, spending time with family.
He will be missed by his children Jessica (Scott) Burvee of Faribault, Jake Bass(girlfriend Tina Cantu) along with her daughters Violet and Lillian all of Faribault, fiancé Toni James along with their son Harley Bass of Ellendale and her daughter Kellie Logan of Austin, MN. His grandchildren Xander and Weston Burvee and his third grandchild expected in February. His parents Lee and Marlys Bass of Hope, MN. His sisters Kerry (Brian) Bice of Owatonna, Kayla (John) Pfeifer of Oregon, Kris (Charlie) Karsten of Owatonna, Kim (significant other Sal Kammerlander) Bass of Brooklyn Park, and many nieces and nephews; Mel (Jayne Keller) Dols father of Toni and the rest of her family. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and Teresa Bass, mother of Jessica and Jake.
