W.J. Bass Died at Beulah Sunday
W.J. Bass, native Lee Countain, succumbed to a heart attack at his Beulah home about 3 p.m. Sunday. He was 49.
Funeral services will be announced later, pending notification of two sons in the Navy. They will, however, be conducted from the Beulah Baptist Church with interment in the Beulah Cemetery.
Survivors include the widow and his mother; three sons, Bob, Jack, and Marion Bass, and one daughter, Sally; one sister, Mrs. Grace McGinty of West Point.

Funeral Service Held Tuesday Fro W.J. Bass
Funeral services were conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday for Wilburn J. Bass, 49, who succumbed suddenly Sunday at this residence in Beulah.
Rev. B.S. Warr assisted by Rev. Love officiated and interment was in the Beulah cemetery.
Mr. Bass was a native of Lee county and member of the Baptist church, and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include the widow; three sons, Bob and Jack Bass of the U.S. Navy and Marion Bass of Beluah; two daughters, Sally and Betty Bass of Beulah; mother, Mrs. Florence Bass; sister, Mrs. W.C. McGinty of West Point and one grand child.
Johnson Funeral Home of Langdale was in charge.
