George B. Pitts, 84, died on Saturday, April 19, 2003. He is survived by his son, George R. Pitts of Albuquerque; daughter, Mary Nubbe of Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren Joshua David Pitts, Kristin Ashley Pitts, Matthew Nubbe, Eric Nubbe and Valeria Nubbe; sister, Mary Lord and brother, Morris Pitts and wife Beverly. World War II Air Corp. Veteran of Asiatic Pacific Theatre, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda C. Pitts on January 28, 1998. George married Wanda C. Pitts on September 24, 1948. George was a member of First United Methodist Church, active in two-sum Sunday School Class. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2003, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd., NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit French Mortuary University Blvd. Chapel on Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 314 Lead SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
