February 4, 2011 Peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Friday, February 4, 2011, Hazel Eva Bass (nee Buker) of Spencerville, age 90. Beloved wife of the late Lester Bass. Predeceased by her parents Leonard and Margaret Buker, brother Hilton (Ida), Harold (Edith) and Eldon Buker. Cherished aunt of Ruth Visser (Stuart), Carl Buker (Nancy), Gordon Buker (Janet), Betty Roles (David), Elsie Blaine (Gerry), Norman Buker (April), Keith Buker (Colleen), Orval Bass (Deana) and Audrey Patterson (Roy). Dear great aunt of Laura Robinson (Ed), Pam Moore (Garry), Shirley Coville (Steve), Martin Visser (Janice), Carl Visser (Lorie), Dale Visser (Janine), Joshua Roles, Kimberley Weaver, Tabitha Buchan (Kevin), and Robert Buker. First cousin of Kenneth Buker (Jean). Also survived by several great great nieces and nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held at Grant Brown Funeral Home, Purcell Chapel, 11 Centre Street, Spencerville on Monday, February 7th from 7 to 9pm. and Tuesday 12 noon to 2pm followed by the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2 pm. Interment at Maynard Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Wellington House Nursing Home or Brockville District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care.
