Wayne Monroe Bass
Wayne Monroe Bass, age 54, of Newberry went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 22, 2008. He was born in Williston, and lived in this area his entire life. He was a member of Newberry Church of Christ, and he loved hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, pa, son, and brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Darlene Bass; daughter Jennifer Bass (Peter John VanDeusen); son Trevor Wayne Bass; granddaughters Vega Monroe and Evey Idell VanDeusen; mother Evertice Bass; and sister Cindy Bass. He was preceded in death by his father Sylvester Monroe Bass and brother Bo Bass. The family will receive friends at the Milam Funeral Home in Newberry on Monday, February 25th from 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 26th at the Newberry Church of Christ, 25045 W. Newberry Road, at 11:00 A.M. with burial in Union Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions please be made to the American Cancer Society, 2119 SW 16th Street, Gainesville, FL 32608.
