Joan E. Kondracki
Joan Esther Kondracki, beloved wife of former Passaic Township, NJ Mayor George Thomas Kondracki died on February 11, 2015 peacefully in her room at Nathaniel Withrell in Greenwich, CT. She was 90. Mrs. Kondracki is survived by her son Michael G. Kondracki, daughter-in-law Judy Liu and grandsons Christopher M. Kondracki and Sean G. Kondracki of Stamford, CT. Mrs. Kondracki is also survived by her brother James Bassett of Ringoes, NJ and her sister Mary Hutchings of Bridgewater, NJ. Joan was graduated from St. John's University in NY as a member of the Cadet Nurse Corp. She practiced as a Registered Nurse in public health in Manville, NJ and later served as the corporate nurse in Boroughs Corporation in Warren, NJ and later Beacham Pharmaceuticals in Piscataway, NJ. Following nursing, Joan joined her husband George to own and run Raritan Valley Liquors in Raritan, NJ from 1976-1986.
An interment in the Chapel Mausoleum of Saint Teresa of Avila Roman Catholic Cemetery in Summit, NJ will occur in mid-March, 2015. A memorial mass will be said for Joan at Holy Spirit Parish in Stamford, CT and Saint Teresa of Avila Church in Summit, NJ in March, 2015 as well.
