William Marvin Bass, 60, of Route 2, Lucama, died at the Carolina General Hospital in Wilson Tuesday at 9:40 a.m. after a long illness. Funeral services will be held from the Yelverton Funeral Home in Fremont Wednesday, with the Rev. W.E. Howard, Methodist minister, officiating. Interment will be in the Edgerton Cemetery near Pinkney. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lillie Pittman Bass; six daughter, Mrs. George Saul of Eureka, Mrs. Woodrow Evans of Wilson, Shirley, Eunice, Judith and Patricia Bass, of the home; four sons, W.M. Bass Jr., Route 2, Lucama, John Thomas, Charles Ray, and Robert Lee Bass, of the home; three brothers, Johnnie Bass, Fremont, David Bass of Wisconsin and Ephraim Bass, Nashville.
