He was an active member of Genesis Lutheran Church and a member of King David Lodge of Detroit, MI. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dora Bass. He will be remembered and deeply missed by his wife of 16 years, Norma Bass; sons, Antonio, Thomas, Deondra of Toledo, OH and Heston (Lynn) of Maryland; daughters, Kenyetta (Darryl) of Toledo, OH and Lisa of Jackson, MI; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives; special friends, Richard, Robert and Austin. Viewing will be on Saturday, August 19 from 6-9 p.m. and Sunday, August 20 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Swanson Funeral Home on 806 E. Grand Blvd., Detroit, MI. Family hour will begin at 5 p.m. at Genesis Lutheran Church, 7200 Mack Ave., Detroit, MI where services will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 21.
