Walter Bass, Former Brazil Citizen, Is Dead William Walter Bass, colored formerly of this city, died last Saturday after a long illness in a Chicago hospital, aged 49 years. The deceased was born in this city and was a son of Harvey Bass, colored barber of this city, who died many years ago. The deceased had been making his home in Chicago for more than 25 years. He is revived by the widow, two daughters and a step-son, also the mother, Mrs. Ammie Robinson, and step-father, Richard Robinson, of Danville, Ill., and two brothers, Chester Bass, of this city, and Harvey Bass, of Danville, Ill. The remains were brought to this city this afternoon and funeral services were held at 2 o?clock this afternoon at the A.M.E. church on south Walnut street, Rev. Franklin officiating, interment Cottage Hill cemetery.
