  Notes	The Birmingham News, Alabama, Friday, 31 March 1911 Mathias Bass The funeral services over the remains of Mathias Bass, who died at his residence, 531 Miller avenue, Thursday morning at 6 o?clock, was held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o?clock at the residence. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery. The Rev. F.A. Ebinger, of the German Lutheran church, officiated at the funeral services. Mr. Bass is survived by his widow and the following children: Mrs. H.M. Weil, Mrs. P.H. Lynn, Miss Caroline Bass, Charles F. and Fred W. Bass, of Bessemer. Mr. Bass was a native of Whittenburg, Germany, and was a resident of Birmingham for a number of years. (Johns)
