- WORCESTER - Ella A. (Mills) Bassett, 68, of 125 Sears Island Drive died
yesterday at home. She leaves her husband of 50 years, Harry D. Bassett Jr.;
two sons, James H. Bassett of Bradenton, Fla., and David A. Bassett of
Millbury; two daughters, Jean L. Jessie of Worcester and Linda A. Bassett of
Barre; a brother, Harry Mills of North Grafton; a sister, Mae Sanborn of
Worcester; eight grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Auburn,
daughter of John and Anna (Giles) Mills, and lived here many years. At her
request, no funeral service is planned. Burial will be at a later da
Rural Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St.,
Framingham 01701; or Camp Sunshine, PO Box 829, South Casco, Maine, 04077.
Caswell-King Funeral Home, 474 Grove St., is directing arrangements.
