  Notes	Madison Enterprise Recorder, Florida, November 5, 1954 Jasper Newton Bass Jasper Newton Bass, age 76, of Cherry Lake, died Monday at the Madison County Hospital. Mr. Bass was born in Madison County February 23, 1878, and was engaged in farming in the Cherry Lake and Pinetta vicinities most of his life. In early manhood he was married to Martha Caroline Horne Bass who survives him. Other survivors are four sons: J. C. Bass and Arthur Bass, both of Quitman, GA; Owen Bass and Johnny Bass, both of Cherry Lake; three daughters, Mrs. E. H. Collins, of Lovett, FL; Mrs. A. P. Ragans, of Pinetta; and Mrs. H. W. Surles, of Tallahassee; and four sisters. One son, Horace Bass, preceded him in death two years ago. Host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Mt. Horeb Primitive Baptist Church with interment there.
