Mildred McDonald and Warren Bass Will Wed June 28
Invitations were received yesterday to the marriage of Miss Mildred Frances McDonald and Warren Franklin Bass for Saturday, June 28, at 4:30 p.m. at Asheboro Street Friends Church. Howard W. Cope, pastor of the church and Rev. Oral Dillon, pastor of Center Friends Church, will officiate.
Miss McDonald will be given away by her father, Daniel Lemuel McDonald of Pleasant Garden, and have as only attendant the bridegroom?s sister, Miss Naomia Frances Bass. Oscar A. Bass will be best man for his bvrother. Those to usher are Richard and D.B. Bass, cousins of the bridegroom, Dexter Campbell, and Howard Avent, all of Burlington, which is the bridegroom?s former home. Jack McFadyen, Jr., baritone, and Mrs. A. K. Moore, church organist, will furnish music.
The bride will be honored Saturday at 8 p.m. in Plesant Garden by Miss Winnie Elliott. Tuesday she and Miss Ruth Day, who will leave Greensboro July 1, were honored when the Rhodes Worth Society of Ashboro Street Friends Church had a party after the regular meeting. Presentation of silver to the bride and lingerie to Miss Day was made by Miss Mary Pitts, president.
