Francois Xavier Bessette
Francois Xavier Bessette, long a respected resident of Danielson and one of the oldest residents of the natives of Canada who have lived in Danielson, is dead at his home on the West Side, having died at this home during Sunday night after a long illness. During practically all of his active years of residence here he was an employe of the Quinebaug company and for a number of years he worked evening and Saturday afternoons in Bacons store. He was a member of St. James? church and a collector there for years. Fraternally he was affiliated with the Union St. John Baptist and church societies of St. James? parish. Mr. Bessette was 77 years old. He is survived by several children, including Moses Bessette, who is owner of a shop in the Attawaugan hotel, and Oliver Bessette, owner of a store on the West Side.
