Beatrice ?Bea? Marie (Bass) Hocker
Evansville, Ind. - Beatrice "Bea" Marie (Bass) Hocker, 92, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Bea was born in Folsomville, Indiana on April 15, 1928 to the late James A. and Lula (Broshears) Bass. She married the love of her life, Ralph Hocker and traveled around the country as he was in the U.S. Air Force. Bea was a member of Northeast Park Baptist Church. She was a great cook, enjoyed fishing and loved her dog, Gigi. Bea is survived by her son, Randall Hocker (Lora) of Evansville, IN; sisters, Lorene Trautvetter of Shelburn, IN, Ilene Edwards of Boonville, IN, Dortha Tatum (David) of Boonville, IN, and Linda Corne of Evansville, IN; and a granddaughter, Mandy Starling (Bill). Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hocker; a brother in infancy; brothers-in-law, Charles Bullock, Gus Trautvetter, and James Edwards; and her parents. A celebration of Bea's life will be streamed live at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 8, 2020 at www.browningfuneral.com and click on live stream.
