      Bessie Lou Rogers Harvill passed away on May 13, 2026, in Dublin, Georgia, at the age of 93.
      She was born December 12, 1932, in Dublin, Georgia, and lived her life with a spirit that touched everyone who knew her. Bessie Lou was the daughter of the late Jim and Della Mullis Bass. She carried the values of hard work, kindness, and devotion throughout her life, and she will be remembered as a spirited, thoughtful, and loving woman whose presence brought warmth to her family and friends.
      Bessie Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Rogers, and by her daughter, Jean Cannon. She also grieved the loss of a granddaughter, Jennifer Gay and a great-grandson, Brandyn Blizzard. Though she experienced profound losses in her lifetime, she remained a source of strength and grace for those around her.
      She is survived by her son, Jimmy Rogers and his wife Deborah, and her daughter, Joette Rogers Harvey and her husband Robbie; her grandchildren, Leigh Ann Wood, Amy Kimbell, Chad Harper, Heather Harper, Eric Smith, Joey Smith, Rebecca Baker, and Brittany Ditmore; 10 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
      Bessie Lou was a longtime employee who retired from Piggly Wiggly Southern after years of dedicated service. She was known for her dependable nature and her strong work ethic, qualities that reflected the way she approached every part of her life.
      Faith was an important part of Bessie Lou?s life. She was a member of the former Springdale Baptist Church and also enjoyed attending Cadwell Baptist Church and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Her church connections were meaningful to her, and she found comfort, fellowship, and joy in being part of a faith community.
      She had a love for music and community life. She was especially known for bringing well-known country music artists to Theatre Dublin, an effort that reflected her appreciation for good entertainment and her desire to enrich the lives of those around her.
      Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel with Mr. Dan Rowe officiating. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens.
      The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 Pm at the funeral home.
      Her grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
