Mrs. Malinda Ann Bassett (picture included)
Mrs. Malinda "Mindy" Ann Bassett, 53, of Rutland died Tuesday Dec. 2, 2015, at Fletcher Allen Health Center following a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 26, 1962, in Rutland, the daughter of Wayne A. and Rosalie J. (LaCrosse) Benware.
Mrs. Bassett was raised in Rutland and graduated from Rutland High School in 1981.
She married Benjamin Bassett on May 5, 1984.
Mrs. Bassett enjoyed her computer, camping, fishing, word puzzles, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Benjamin Bassett; a daughter, Kristin McGovern of West Rutland; a son Steven Bassett of South Burlington; two grandchildren, Annabelle and Jacoby; two sisters, Tina Benware, and Debra Clogston; also a brother, Kevin Benware, all of Rutland; and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the Aldous Funeral Home, 44 North Main St., Rutland, VT.
Service will be held on 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2015 at the Aldous Funeral Home.
