Jon Milford Bassett

Jon Milford Bassett, age 80, of Lansing, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. He was born December 20, 1944, to Milford and Jessie (Crane).
Jon graduated from Grand Ledge where he was active in sports. From there he went to work at Northern Concrete Pipe, Central Transport and Dean Transportation as a diesel mechanic. Jon loved hunting and racing sled dogs.
Jon is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sue. Also surviving are his daughter, Jennifer Modzelewski, 3 sons from a previous marriage, Jon (Lele) of Florida, Jeff of St. Johns, Michigan and Jason of Florida. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister Gloria, brother Marc and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for Jon will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 South Jefferson, Mason, MI 48854.
