Gerard Landry Basse, on Friday, April 29, 1988 at 7:17 a.m., beloved husband of Marion Gros Basse; father of Ilene B. Fernandez, Mavis Basse, and Janice B. Gaskill; son of Pierre L. and Lydia C. Basse; grandfather of Rodney and Andrea Fernandez; brother of Melva B. Frickey; aged 62 years, a native and lifelong resident of Barataria, LA. Relatives and friends of the family and employees of Ocean Drilling and Explration Company (ODECO) are invited to attend the funeral. Services from the Gretna Home of Leitz-Eagan, 919 Amelia Avenue, on Monday morning, May 2, 1988 at 9:00 o’clock a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony Catholic Churhc, Lafitte, LA. Interment in St. Pius the X Mausoleum, Crown Point, LA. Friends may call after 7:00 p.m., Sunday. Rosary at 8:00 p.m.
