BASS, Mr. Preston Thomas - age 65, passed away, Friday, January 28, 2016 at Crittenton Hospital Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 AM Monday, February 8, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00 AM. Pastor Brian Denham, Officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Monday. Mr. Bass will lie in state in the Chapel of the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 10:00 AM - 6:00PM Sunday.
Mr. Preston T. Bass was born April 6, 1950 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of James T. Bass and Mary C. Bass. Preston attended the Pontiac School District and graduated from Pontiac Central High School. He was resident of Lake Orion, Michigan. He worked for many years as a truck driver. Preston loved his family and family gatherings. He especially enjoyed being at home with his sisters and brother. He had great passion for history and music, especially jazz. Preston was a fun loving person that enjoyed people and life.
Mr. Bass leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Lula Bass of Lake Orion, MI; children, Victoria Price of Anderson, IN, Tina (Adrian) Bass of Lake Orion, MI, Sylvia Moore of Sterling Heights, MI, Talana (Philip) Fynbo of Cottom, Canada, Anthony Lawrence of Indianapolis, IN and Daniel Lawrence of Pensacola, FL; stepchildren, Merleana Harrison of AZ, Regina Streaty of NC and Rosa Hoskins of FL; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; four sisters, Gloria ?Jill? (Curtis) Hill of Pontiac, MI, Constance Jones of CA, Christine Bass of Grand Blanc, MI and Leila Bass of New Orleans, LA; brother, Francis ?Jack? (Abbie) Bass of Pontiac, MI; uncle, Norrel White of Redford, MI; mother-in-law, Beatrice Sailes of Anderson, IN; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his parents, James T. Bass and Mary C. Bass.
