Wayne Bass, June 14, 2021
Wayne Bass, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021, at the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson, La. He was 72 years old.
He was born November 16, 1948 in Paris, Texas, the son of the late Gene Lionel Bass and Virginia Shuffield Bass. Wayne served in the U.S. Army and did his tour of duty in Vietnam. He was a welder most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother James Garland Bass.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sheila Baxter Bass; daughter Alison Sharp and husband Terry; son Darren Bass and Robin; grandchildren Russell Wayne Bass, Rebecca Nan Bass, Michael Ray McIntyre III, Brandon James McIntyre, Bella Estelle Klein, and Elaina Camille Klien; and sister Kathy Broussard and husband Joseph.
Visitation is Wednesday June 16, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, Ms. from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow in Talbert Cemetery near Gloster.
