Marriage Vows Exchanged By Mis Parks, Mr. Bass

Miss Janice Faye Parks became the bride of Phillip Marion Bass of Phenix City at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at Britt David Baptist Church. The Rev. Homer Davis officiated.
Parents of the couple are Mrs. Sara Stewart and Mr. snd Mrs. Acie D. Bass of Phenix City.
The groom?s father was best man, and usher-groomesmen were William C. Willams of Phenix City and Jack Ray. Scott Marshall was ring bearer.
Miss Linda Gail Parks was her sister?s maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Williams and Miss Connie J. Ward. Kelly Condrey was flower girl.
The attendants wore light yellow gowns of silk worsted and face veils attached to bows in their hair. They carried nosegays of yellow and white carnations. The flower girl wore a dress styled ilke those of the attendants.
Given in marriage by her mother and grandfather, Grady Mobley, the bride wore a gown of white satin with an overlay of Chantilly lace. Her veil of illusion was beaded with seed pearls, and she carried a bouquet of feathered carnations and tuberoses centered with a white orchid.
The bride?s mother was hostess at a reception following the ceremony at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond F. Mobley, uncle and aunt of the bride, in Green Island Hills.
Mrs. Vance Horne kept the bride?s book, and assisting in serving were Mrs. Aubrey Long, Mrs. William Murphy and Miss Carol Simmons.
Following a wedding trip to be planned en route, the couple will ive on Route 2, Phenix City.
The groom?s parents entertained with a rehearsal dinner Aug. 2 at Kemp?s Restaurant in Phenix City.
