Waters-Davis
The wedding of Mrs. Margaret Bass Davis, of New York, daughter of James Leslie Bass, of Augusta, Ga., late general superintendent of the Augusta and Port Royal Railroad, to Mr. Hood Waters, of Baltimore, well known club member and sportsman, was celebrated at 6 P.M. Wednesday, October 11th, in a drawing room of the Jefferson Hotel, the Rev. George H. Spooner, of Broad Street M.E. Church, officiating.
The drawing room was fragrant and beautiful with palms and roses, and Miss Mary Willie Smoot played a number of charming selections, and, during the ceremony, a symphony by Rubenstein. The bride was elegantly gowned in pink lavender Florentine silk, en princesse, with a rich garniture of rose point lace and a lavender velvet and lace hat, with curling plumes encircling the crown and resting against the hair. She married orchids.
Among relatives and friends who came to Richmond for the wedding were Dr. and Mrs. G.M. Cantrell, of Little Rock, Ark.; Miss Waters, of Baltimore, the groom?s siter; Mrs. Charles Fricker, of Americus, Ga., and Captain Frank DeWitt of Washington.
Mrs. and Mrs. Waters will spend several months in Western travel, after which they will make their home in Baltimore.
