The Chrisman, Ill., native was an Army veteran of World War II and retired from R.R. Donneley bindery. He was a son of the late Jesse Warren Bass Sr. and Sylvia Marie Smith, and husband of the late Mary L. Bass. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, Ind., with burial in Silver Island Cemetery in Kingman, Ind. Local arrangements are by T.W. Crow and Son Funeral Home. He is survived by a brother, Chet Bass of Scottsville; a daughter, Elaine Parks of Sterling, Va.; and two grandchildren.
