Biographical Summary: He was awarded a prize for the best collection of
amateur photos at the New Westminster Provincial Fair in 1898. He worked as a
travelling salesman for a fruit preserving company, O'Kell & Morris, in 1897
and 1899. He was also listed as having worked for the B.C. Jobbing Co. in 1899.
William was 79 years of age when he died. According to the Canadian censuses, he was born in October 1870.
He first went into cabinet work in Victoria and later became branch
manager for Ramsey Bros., a Biscuits & Confectionery of Vancouver with a
warehouse in Victoria.
He has a grandson Brian Bassett who is a son of one of three boys below.
