  Notes	Find-a-Grave Obituary Paul Pratt Bass Jr. Paul Pratt Bass, Jr. age 88, of Macclenny, Florida passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Acosta Rua Center for Caring with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 6, 1928 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Paul P. Bass, Sr. and Hattie Perkins Bass. Paul met the love of his life, Waneta Moody when he was 10 years old and she was 8. They started dating while attending Andrew Jackson High School where Paul graduated. They later married on April 17, 1948. Paul and his 3 brothers were drafted together and called into active duty where he proudly served his country in the United States Marines Corps. After his time in service, Paul moved into a very successful career in the electrical field as Assistant Division Chief for JEA. After 21 years at JEA he retired and moved to Tallahassee, Florida and worked an additional 13 years with the City of Tallahassee. In 2013, Paul and Waneta relocated to Macclenny, Florida where they became members at Glen Baptist Church in Glen St. Mary. Paul loved his family and enjoyed the time he was given with them. He is predeceased by his parents; brothers, Gordon, John and J.B. Bass; sisters, Pauleen and Gaynell. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Waneta Moody Bass of Macclenny, FL; children, David (Edie) Bass of Clinton, UT, Sandra B. Spell of Raleigh, NC, Michael (Pat) Bass of Sanderson, FL, Kelli (Toby) Hansbauer of Raleigh, NC; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Paul?s life will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11:00 am at Glen Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Andrews officiating. Interment will follow at Jacksonville Memory Gardens in Orange Park, Florida where military honors will be rendered. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service.
