Delma Elaine Bass Allen
Funeral services for Delma Elaine Allen will be held at 2 pm, Monday, July 13, 2015, in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jimmie Bloodsworth officiating.
Interment will follow in the Palestine Cemetery of Fairview under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Delma, 65, of Elizabeth, entered eternal rest on Friday, July 10, 2015 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini, Alexandria.
She was born August 11, 1949 in Oakdale to James Corbett Bass, Sr. and Lucille (Ware) Bass.
She was a Baptist by faith, a homemaker, and a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve Allen; five brothers; and five sisters.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are: one son, Steve Allen of Elizabeth; one daughter, April Lavonne Allen of Pitkin; four brothers, Gerald Ray Bass of San Angelo, Texas, Franklin Bass of Oakdale, Charles Bass of Anaheim, California, and Embree Bass of Florida; five sisters, Marie Vickers of Nederland, Texas, Beaulah Rivas of San Angelo, Texas, Gloria Thibodeaux, and Frankie Bass both of Oakdale; and Donna Johnson of New Orleans; four grandchildren, Stoney Stafford, Patrick Cowley, Bodie LaValley, and Samantha Morris one great grandson, Landynnn Morris.
Pallbearers to serve will be, Patrick Cowley, Stoney Stafford, Herman Perkins, Cody Morris, Johnny Maricle, and Troy Carter. Honorary pallbearer will be Landynn Morris.
Friends may call today (Sunday) from 10 am till 10 pm; and on Monday from 9 am until time of service at 2 pm in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel.
