Sam Holcomb Bass, Railroad Fireman
Sam Holcomb Bass, aged 46, of 1506 McGowan Street, a locomotive fireman for the Rock Island Lines, died Wednesday at a Little Rock hospital. He was an Eagle and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Fireman and Enginemen, Local 578. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Geneva Wilkerson Bass; two daughters, Mrs. Earl Baldwin of Compton, Cal., and John L. Brewer of Paramount, Cal.; a brother, Floyd Bass of Winston-Salem, N.C.; seven sisters, Mrs. O.M. May, Mrs. Charlie parks and Mrs. Bill Blassingame of North Little Rock, Mrs. All Rosamond and Mrs. John Counts of Hot Springs, Mrs. Chad Robinson of Cabot and Mrs. Georgia, McClanand of Santa Monica, Cal., and four grandchildren. Healey and Roth will announce the funeral arrangements.
