  Notes	Herald-Citizen, Cookeville, TN, January 20, 2004 Mattie Phedora Cooper Bassett Johnson COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Mattie Phedora Cooper Bassett Johnson, 98, of Knoxville, formerly of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston &Horner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of the services. Mrs. Johnson died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at Shannondale Health Born on March 12, 1905, in Coshocton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Edward Wood and Lucy Osborne Karr Cooper. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Cookeville First Presbyterian Church and was one of the founding members of the Cookeville Garden Club and a former member of the Cookeville Country Club. Her family includes her son, Julian Bassett of Knoxville, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clayton Johnson, and two brothers, Walter and Andrew Dement Cooper.
