She was a lifelong resident of Madison County and was a member of Ochlawilla Baptist Church in Brooks County, GA. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Lolla Mae Collins of Greenville; Mrs. Mattie E. Ragans of Pinetta; and Mrs. Mary Surles of Tallahassee; three sons, J. Arthur Bass of Quitman, GA; Owen Bass of Pinetta; and Johnny Bass of Disputane, VA; one brother, Will Horne of Pinetta; thirty-six grandchildren; seventy great-grandchildren and four great=great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at Beggs Funeral Home.
