Fred Bass, 83, of 503 Lynwood Blvd., died at 1:30 p.m. yesterday at the home.
Services will be at 4 p.m. tomorrow at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Knoxville.
Bass had been living with his daughter, Mrs. Charles Bancroft McCellan, at her home the past four years.
He was a native of Grand Rapids, Mich.
Bass worked for the the Courier-Journal Publishing Co. in Louisville most of his life.
His daughter is the only immediate survivor.
