Smith Bass
Funeral services for Smith Bass, 87, farmer and Sour Lake resident for 37 years, who died in the home of a daughter, Mrs. S.E. Bandy, Thursday afternoon, were held at 10 o?clock Saturday morning, in the Sahara cemetery at Devers, with E.J. Heirholzer, Pentecostal minister, officiating. Burial was under direction of the Roberts funeral home. Pallbearers selected were Olan Delaney, Barney bandy, Dempsey Bandy, and Gerald McCullough, all of Sour lake, and G.D. Freeman of Devers and Robert Bandy of El Campo.
Surviving besides Mrs. Bandy are two other daughters, Mrs. Bertha Delaney and Mrs. Lillie Delaney, both of Sour Lake, and a son, Dewey Bass, of Cleveland.
