He was born in Marion, the son of Carl and Bessie Conyers Bass. Survivors include: his mother; his children, Amee (Gregory) Beznis, Sara Bass, Carl (Heather) Bass; siblings, Carlita (Bill) Erickson and Robert (Laura) Bass; and three grandchildren. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion. Inurnment will be in Claney Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
