Eloise Bass Hinnant
Eloise Bass Hinnant, 92 of Hampton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 22, 2025. She was born March 17, 1933 in Kenly, NC and moved to Hampton in 1955. Eloise was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, who was always there to support her family and lend a helping hand. She was a born again Christian, enjoyed talking and sharing stories with her family and friends, cooking, sewing, and working in her yard. Her presence will be missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy Bass and Viola Rose Bass; her husband of 58 years, Kelley C. Hinnant; brothers, Bobby Bass, Nathan Bass and Aaron Bass; and sister, Clara Lee Pearson. Eloise is survived by her daughter, Sherry Huth (Bobby); son, Kelly Craig Hinnant (Michele); six grandchildren, Lisa King (Calvin), Brittany Paul (Dylan), Chase Hinnant, Skylar Hinnant (Katie), Kyle Hinnant and Zach Hinnant; three great-grandchildren, Zoey King, Waylon Paul, and Reina Hinnant; two brothers, Tom Bass (Sharon) and Glenn Bass.The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00pm on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 in the chapel at Liberty Live Church (1021 Big Bethel Rd. Hampton, VA). A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm with Dr. Grant Ethridge officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn-Wood Memorial Park (2552 N. Armistead Ave, Hampton) with a reception following at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Liberty Live Church building fund or Hospice House of Williamsburg.
