Kevin C. Bassett
Kevin C. Bassett passed away, at Ochsner Foundation Hospital, on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 10:00 p.m. Beloved husband of Dawn Berthelot Bassett. Loving father of Hannah Rose Bassett. Son of Earl "Charlie" Bassett and Sylvia Hansen Bassett. Grandson of Charline Bassett, the late Carter Bassett, Catherine Hansen and William Hansen. Brother of Stacy Ann Marino and husband, Amedeo; uncle of Enzo Marino. Son-in-law of Raymond Berthelot and Rose Berthelot. Brother-in-law of Raymond Berthelot, Jr. and wife, Gerardina; uncle of Iriana Berthelot. Godson of Roselyn Hansen. Best friend of Darrell Ross. Mr. Bassett, aged 36 years, recently retired as a MSGT in the Louisiana Air National Guard, having served in Iraq as a Civil Engineer and was the recipient of numerous medals and awards. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1802 Tulane Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana, on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Visitation will be held at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, Louisiana, on Tuesday, June 19th from 6:00 p.m. until 100:00 p.m. and at St. Joseph's on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time.
