Jane Honeycutt Bass, 85, of Lucama, died Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at Lucama Global Methodist Church, Thursday, 11:00 AM, followed by visitation. Interment will be for and at the convenience of the family.
Mrs. Bass was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family and her church faithfully. Jane educated many students while teaching in Wilson County Schools. Home Economics was her passion. She loved cooking and caring for her grandchildren and spending as many precious moments with them as she could. Jane served her church in many roles but playing the organ and piano was her greatest gift.
She is survived by her sons, Silas Bass III (Victoria) of Wake Forest and Chris Bass (Julia) of Lucama; grandchildren, Tyson, Ryan, Sarah, and Jacob Bass.
Mrs. Bass was preceded in death by her husband William Silas ?Billy? Bass, Jr.; parents, Alonzo and Gladys Phillips Honeycutt.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ann Little, Joey and Michelle Kirby, and her team of caregivers who were blessings from God.
