Mrs Mary Wade Dies; Rites Here Tomorrow
Mrs Mary B. Wade, widow of Ben H. Wade a former resident of Danville died at her home in Alexandria yesterday. Mrs Wade had made her home in Alexandria since the death of her husband who for many years was an insurance company executive here. The deceased is survived by three children, Mrs Robert Wade Allen and Miss Marion Wade both of Alexandria and Mrs E.B Rhodes of Danville. The following brothers and sisters also are left; Mrs C.C. Armstrong of Gastonia, NC, Mrs Frances Morton of Raleigh, A.L. Bass of Milton, Mrs Pattie
Swann of Kannapolis, NC, Lamberth Bass of Gastonia, Mrs Lois B. Angle of Milton, and Mrs Minnie Wilkins of South Boston. One grandchild and a great grandchild also survive. Graveside rites will be conducted in Mountain View Cemetery Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Dr L.D. Johnson and Dr J.M. Shelburne. The body will arrive in Danville Monday at 8:35 am and will rest at Townes Funeral Home until 1:30 pm.

Married In Person
Last Friday's Danville Register says: At Glendore, Person County, NC there was a beautiful home wedding yesterday. Mr Benjamin Hampton Wade of this city and Miss Mary Virginia Bass daughter of Robert B Bass of Person County, were the contracting parties. An old fashioned country wedding dinner was enjoyed after which at 4 pm the ceremony was performed by Rev J H Lamberth of Roxboro. The attendants were Mr Z P Smith and Miss Sallie Faulkner, Mr J Cabell Davis and Miss Bettie Wade, Mr S H Price and Miss Annie Wade, Mr T W Woods and Miss Lillie Bolling, Mr W H Bass and Miss Sallie Street, Mr P H Wade and Miss Mollie Bass. Mr and Mrs Wade went to Danville by the Atlantic and Danville train and are stopping with Mr and Mrs P R Preston on Ridge Street.
