Mrs. Mary Lou Cunningham, age 72, of Metropolis, passed away at 8:05am on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at her residence.
Mary L. Cunningham devoted her life to her kids, grandchildren, and to her faith in God. She was an extraordinary woman whose faith never wavered.
Funeral Services will be Sunday, July 31, 2011 at 2:00P.M. at Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Anderson and Dan Hahn officiating. Burial to follow at the Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis.
She is survived by 2-daughters: Dawn Conder and husband William of Grantsburg, IL, and Kelly Harris and husband Michael of Metropolis, IL; 3-grandchildren: Courtney Paige Conder of Grantsburg, IL, and Anthony Tyler Harris, and Kari Brooke Harris of Metropolis, IL; a sister: Jackie Foster of Metropolis, IL; a brother, Allan Bass of Murray, KY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hillis and Carrie Bass, husband of fifty years, Gary Cunningham, and a brother; Gene Bass.
Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home on Saturday, July 30, 2011 from 6pm to 8pm.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Mary Lou Cunningham Memorial Fund in care of Lisa Parmer, at City National Bank P.O. Box 380, Metropolis, Illinois 62960.
Pallbearers will be Billy Conder, Michael Harris, Richard Smith, Danny Simmons, Ryan Anderson, and B.J. Lampley
Honorary Pallbearers will be Anthony Tyler Harris, Courtney Paige Conder, Kari Brooke Harris.
