Brenda Ann ?Davis? Bass
Brenda Ann (Davis) Bass, daughter of Ancil and Emily (Browitt) Davis, was born July 16, 1949. She departed this life on August 18, 2006, at the age of 57, after a long battle with cancer. Brenda was born and raised in Hartville by her grandmother, Lola Davis. She graduated from Hartville High School in 1967. After graduation Brenda worked as a credit manager in Springfield for 26 years. She then met and married Johnny Bass in November of 1996. They made their home in Cedarcreek, Mo., where they had many happy times. Brenda loved being on the lake with friends, cooking out, fishing, swimming, skiing, and going on long boat trips. She was also very fond of animals, especially her cats, Sugar, Freddie, Tigger, and her dog, Sandy. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Ancil and Emily (Browitt) Davis; and her grandmother, Lola Davis. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Bass, of the home; one son, Brent Cruse of Strafford; four grandchildren, Perry, Chris, Boston and Blake; a brother, Robert Davis and his wife, Beverly, of Hartville; a stepdaughter, Sandra Dee Angelakos of Cedarcreek; three step grandchildren, Terry, Brandy and Chante; and mother-in-law, Laveda Bass of Springfield. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 21, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
