Miss Reynolds Becomes Bride In Maryland
Mrs. Paul H. Husted Guest At Niece?s Wedding to Mr. T.D.S. Bassett
Of interest in Buffalo is the marriage of Miss Patricia Reynolds, daughter of Mrs. Eustace Reynolds of Washington and the late Mr. Reynolds, formerly of this city, to Mr. Thomas Day Seymour Bassett, son of Mrs. Samuel Eliot Bassett and the late Prof. Bassett of Burlington, Vt.
The ceremony was performed Saturday, Dec. 26, in St. John?s Church, Georgetown, Md., by the Rev. F. Bland Tucker. The bride is a niece of Mrs. W. Ward Plummer and Mrs. Alfred H. Clark of this city. The bride, given in marriage by her mother, wore a gown of white mousseline de sole with eyelet embroidery ruching and carried a bouquet of sweet peas and roses.
The Misses Daphne, Cynthia and Agnes Reynolds were bridesmaids, wearing rose, turquoise and powder blue gowns, respectively, and carrying sweet peas and cavalier roses. Mr. Carvel Painter was best man and the ushers were the Messrs. John Eustace Reynolds and Leonard Unger.
A reception took place in the parish house of the church which was decorated with Christmas greens. After Jan. 10 Mr. Bassett and his bride will make their home in 2012 O st., N.W., Washington. Mrs. Paul H. Husted of Scarsdale, another aunt of the bride, formerly of Buffalo, attended the wedding.

BURLINGTON, Vt., Nov. 24 ? Mrs. T.D Seymour Bassett, 41, the former Patricia Reynolds of Buffalo, died in a hospital here Monday (Nov. 23, 1959) after a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mrs. Bassett, wife of a history professor at the University of Vermont, was born in Buffalo April 12, 1918. Her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Walbridge Reynolds, is a member of the well-known Buffalo family for whom the Walbridge Bldg. was named. She lives in Rome, Italy.
The Reynolds family moved to Scarsdale in 1928 and to Washington in the late 1930s. Mrs. Bassett was graduated from Vassar College in 1940 and taught in the Hartridge School, Plainfield, N.J., until her marriage to Prof. Bassett Dec. 26, 1942.
Mrs. Bassett was a niece of Mrs. Paul H. Husted, Mrs. Alfred Hull Clark and Mrs. W. Ward Plummer, all of Buffalo.
She also is survived by her husband; a son, John; three daughters, Elizabeth, Miriam and Margot; two brothers, John Reynolds, Washington, and George, Rutland, Vt., and two sisters, Mrs. Ellis T. Williams, Washington, and Mrs. William A. Parker, wife of a State Department official in Saigon, Indo-China.
A Friends memorial service will be conducted at 3 o?clock Saturday afternoon at the University of Vermont.
