Survivors include his friend, Lexie Barnes; sons, William Gene Bass of Arizona and Lawrence Lee Bass of Kansas; sisters, Nadean Solis of Julian and Frances Reed of Chula Vista; brother, Paul Bass of El Cajon; and three grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. today, Greenwood Mortuary, Interstate 805 and Imperial Avenue, San Diego. Services at noon at the mortuary.
