Mary Moore Bass
Mary Moore Bass, 73, of Greensboro, North Carolina, the daughter of Lee T. and Besse H. Moore, with the love and aid of her family and friends, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 9, 1997. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park. Ms. Bass was of the Methodist faith and graduated from Pleasant Garden School with honors. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Moore of Lexington, Virginia. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley M. Hobson of Greensboro; her son and his wife, V. Gene McClintock and Janet L. McClintock of Stokesdale; her sister and her husband, Marie and Linwood Avin of Columbia, South Carolina; grandchildren, Marty H. Crymes and Sherry H. McNeill of Greensboro, Jennifer Langley of Madison, James McClintock in the U.S. Navy, and Steve Garmon of Bluefield, Virginia; five great-grandchildren; and many of her loving friends and family. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at 1306 Dorsey Road. Memorial contributions can be made to Evangelical Methodist Church, 1320 Town Street, Greensboro, North Carolina or to SPCA, 3911 Presbyterian Road, Greensboro, North Carolina or to Brenner Children's Hospital, Medical Center Boulevard, Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
