Patricia "Pat" (Lamoureux) Bassett, 81, of Vernon, beloved wife of the late Peter Kellogg Bassett, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born on May 18, 1941, in Hartford, one of 6 children of the late Eugene and Anne Marie (Eisele) Lamoureux. She was raised in New Britain, CT, attended and was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Pat earned her nursing degree from the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. Pat was a registered nurse and was employed by the State of Connecticut, working at the Mansfield Training School for 25 years. She was raised with a strong faith and shared that with others. Pat volunteered for several charitable organizations and was very involved in the communities she was a part of throughout her life. She was an avid card and board game enthusiast and enjoyed family adventures with her children and grandchildren. Pat along with Peter were lovers of travel and adventures. Pat is survived by her three daughters Susan Bassett-Wooley of Coventry, Barbara Foreman and her husband Phil of Vernon and Elizabeth Hanville and her husband Richard of Cornelius, NC. Her eight cherished grandchildren Sydney Wooley, Samantha Foreman and her fiancé Steve Capobianco, Joseph Wooley, Andrew Foremen, Jonathan Hanville, Sabrina Hanville, Sierra Wooley and J.P. Hanville, her four siblings Eugene Lamoureux, Sr Anne Marie Lamoureux, Cathy O'Day and Maryellen Wezowicz and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her husband and parents, Pat was predeceased by loved family and friends. Calling hours will be at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road in Vernon on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace in Rockville on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 11:00 am. Burial in St. Bernard Cemetery will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
