Ruby Mae Sistrunk Bass
Ruby Sistrunk Bass, age 98, slipped gently into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Monday, August 9, 2010, in Fernandina Beach, FL. Mrs. Bass was born in Lafayette County, FL, on May 30, 1912, to the late Ossie, and Jane Horton Padgett. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the First Assembly of God Church in Perry. Preceded in death by her husbands, George W. Sistrunk, and Artis Bass. Survivors include a daughter; Barbara Thornton of Fernandina Beach, FL, a sister; Loree Crawford of Jacksonville, FL. (2) grandchildren; Donna Thornton of Fernandina Beach, FL, James R. ?Dickie? Thornton, Jr. of Salt Springs, FL, (3) great-grandchildren, (1) great-great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be held at the First Assembly of God Church Thursday, August 12, 2010. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
