LAKE VIEW ? Miss Nancy mayo bass and Mrs. Ferrell Rogers were married Dec. 20 in First Baptist Church. The Rev. Howard Fowler officiated.
The bride?s p-arents are Mr. and Mrs. Mayo Bass. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Trayce Rogers.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Mrs. John Robert Jordan of Columbia, the bridegroom?s sister, was matron of honor. Miss Amy Katharyn Bass was her sister?s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Connie Gail Smith of Hardin, Mont., Miss Carolyn Blake Walters of Barnesville, N.C., Miss Judy Lynn Strickland of Nichols, Miss Judith Elizabeth Still of Barnwell, Miss Paula Page of Fairmont, N.C., and Miss Ronald Hayes of Bennetsville. Flower girls were Maria Tobin and Sharon Denise Bass, the bride?s cousin. Miniature bride was Penny Lee Floyd, the bride?s cousins.
Mr. Rogers was his son?s best man. Groomsmen were Mr. James Francis Rogers, the bridegorom?s brother; Mr. John Robert Jordan of Columbia, the bridegroom?s brother-in-law; Mr. John Caldwell Calhoun III of Fairmont, N.C., Mr. Larry Lynn Rogers of Morristown, Tenn., Mr. Trommy Franklin Bass and Mr. Paul Shelton Rogers. Ringbearers were John Austin Stanley and Wade Austin Stanley.
A reception was held after the ceremony in the home of the bride?s parents. The couple will live here.
The bride is a graduate of Limestone College.
Mr. Rogers is a graudate of The Citadel.

Nancy Bass Rogers
Nancy Bass Rogers, 72 of Lake View, South Carolina entered eternal rest on April 30, 2020.
Nancy was born on September 21, 1947 in Lake View, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mayo Bass. She was a graduate of Lake View High School, Vardell Hall, and Limestone College. Also, receiving a Master?s in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina. Nancy cherished time walking on the beach, shagging to beach music at Ocean Drive, attending theatre productions, collecting fine china and antiques. She was a beloved ?Miss Nancy? as a Second and Third grade teacher for over 40 years at Lake View Elementary School. Her kindness and affection for all children was well known. However, no greater love was for her own children and now grandchildren or ?her world? as she frequently told them. As their ?Nan?, she read hundreds of books over the years, attended every school function, and expressed an unconditional love for them that never wavered.
In retirement, Nancy called Charleston her second home. She enjoyed spending time there with her children attending Citadel functions, eating at the latest restaurant, and sharing the Lowcountry culture and history with her grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her children, Weatherly Rogers Brice (Miller), Ashley Ferrell Rogers, and Brantley Trayce Rogers all of Charleston, South Carolina. Siblings, Amy Bass Williamson and Tommy Franklin Bass of Lake View, South Carolina. She is also survived by the absolute loves of her life, her ?two precious? grandchildren, Robert Miller ?Mills? Brice, IV and Greyson ?Grey? Walters Brice of Charleston, South Carolina.
A private, graveside funeral is planned for the immediate family. Memorials may be made in her name to Lake View First Baptist Church, Lake View, SC, The Medical University of South Carolina Hollings Cancer Center, Charleston, SC, or the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.
