Owen-Bassett
Kathryn Ann Bassett and Joseph Patrick Owen were married yesterday in St. Catherine?s Church. The Rev. Thomas B. Kirby was celebrant of the solemn high mass at 10. Breakfast for the immediate families was served in the Rose Room and the reception in the evening was held in the Tudor Room of Hotel Tudor Arms. The bride is the daughter of Mr. Raymond E. Bassett, 3557 E 110th Street and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter F. Owen, 294 E. 216th Street, Euclid. Mrs. Robert J. Uebbing was matron of honor for her sister and Walter F. Owen Jr. was best man. Ushers were James E. Owen and James B. Goff. The couple left for Daytona Beach, Fla.

OWEN age 89 of Richmond Heights died Monday May 15, 2017 at University Hospital, Richmond Heights, OH. She was born September 11, 1927 in Cleveland. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Wickliffe, OH and a former member of St. Margaret Mary, South Euclid; Mother of Sorrows, Ashtabula; and St. Gabriel, Concord. Survivors include her children: Joseph P. Owen, Ellen M. (Stephen) DiPippo, Ann E. (Bruce) Johnson, Matthew C. (Valerie) Owen and Paul M. (Lisa) Owen, 9 grandchildren and sister: Jane C. Uebbing. Preceding Kathryn in death is her husband of 48 years: Joseph P. Owen, grandson: Christopher F. Johnson, parents: Raymond E. and Catherine M. Bassett and sister: Mary Elizabeth Nieberding. The funeral mass will be 10 am Tuesday May 23, 2017 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 1730 Mt. Carmel Dr. Wickliffe, OH. The family will receive friends from 9-10 am Tuesday May 23, 2017 at the church. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
