  Notes	Find-A-Grave He was born April 17, 1926 in Union, Texas (Terry County) to John and Sarah Bass, the youngest of five children. He married Neva Pearl Baker in Anson, Texas on October 18, 1946. They lived most of their married life in Brownfield where Otis farmed. He retired in 1991. They moved to Early in 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Cephas and Sarah Jane Bass; a sister Leta Mae Bryant; a brother Curtis Brannon Bass; a sister Johnnie Ozella Hill; and a brother, J.L. Bass. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Neva Bass, 4 children – Pamela and Bill Higginbotham of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Judy and Steve Thurber of Dallas, Texas; Otis Bass, Jr. of Midland, Texas; and Jeanne and Eddie Ailshie of Early, Texas. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and many family and friends.
