Lois (Tadlock) Bass
April 29, 1934 - September 26, 2018
Mrs. Lois Tadlock Bass, 84, of Asheville, North Carolina, died Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Mill Creek Christian Church, Bentonville, North Carolina. The Reverend Jerry Burton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mill Creek Church Cemetery. Mrs. Bass was born on April 29, 1934 in Union County, North Carolina, to the late Henry Luther and Lola Brewer Tadlock. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Bobby Ray Bass and by son, Brian Ray Bass. Mrs. Bass retired from Bell South Telephone Company, and Minshew and Rose & Graham Funeral Homes as a secretary. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Matt Leggat of Asheville, North Carolina; two granddaughters, Ruby and Nora Leggat; brother and sister-in-law, R.V. Tadlock and wife Faye of Summerfield, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews. The family of Ms. Bass would like to acknowledge all of her well-loved "adopted" children. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2018 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks. Flowers are welcomed, however, memorials may be made to UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center Development and Communications UNC-CH CB# 7295, Chapel Hill, North Carolina 27599-7295.
