Mrs. Bass was born in Cook County, GA and was a former resident of Madison before moving to Quitman. She was a member of Ochawilla Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Rhodes of Quitman, GA; Mrs. Jean Edmisten of Live Oak and Mrs. Dorothy O?Neal of Cherry Lake; three sons, Lamar Bass of Valdosta, GA; Jimmy Bass and Bobby Bass, both of Quitman; five grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. A. M. Beilon, Mrs. Dock Willie, Mrs. J. Arthur Bass, Miss Lula Roach, all four of Quitman; Mrs. Dave Folsom of Adel and Mrs. Hollis Bass of Pinetta; and one brother of Winter Haven, FL. Funeral services were held Saturday September 21st at Redland Baptist Church, GA with burial in the church cemetery. Maxwell Funeral Home of Quitman was in charge of arrangements.
